Winter Sunrise Hat
Materials
Color A: 1 skein Riot King Cole (325 yards – 294 meters / 100gr) – You will use only a few yards from this one. Personally I used up the yarn that was left after finishing the Winter Sunrise Shawl.
Color B: 1 skein of a 3ply yarn in purple tones
Color C: 1 skein of a mohair-type yarn in green / blue / grey or whatever-you-like-tones
A circular needle (20cm) no 5
D.p. Needles, no5
A tapestry needle or a crochet hook
A st. marker
As you will need few yards from every one of the three types of yarns, this pattern is ideal for using up leftovers of other projects.
Pattern
With color A cast on 72 st. and join to knit in the round, being careful not to twist the stitches. Place marker to mark the end of the round, and continue with ribbing 2x2 for 6 rows (about 2cm or 1,5 inch.)
Change to color B and knit one round increasing 10 st. evenly (make one every 7 st.). Knit another round increasing 8 st. evenly (make one st. every 10 st.) - (that will give you 90 st.).
3rd round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end
Change to color C
4th and 5th round: knit, increasing another 10 st (that way you will have 100 st. in total).
6th round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end
Change to color A and continue as follows:
7th and 8th round: knit
9th round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end
Change to color B
10th and 11th round: knit
12th round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end
Continue as described, changing colors every 3 rounds, until your piece measures 15cm from the cast on edge. Then start decreasing:
1st round: knit
2nd round: *k2tog, k8*, repeat to the end of round
3rd round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end of round
Change color and:
4th round: knit
5th round: *k2tog, k7*, repeat to the end of round
6th round: *yo, k2tog*, repeat to the end of round
Continue decreasing the same way (k2tog, k6/k2tog, k5, etc.) every 3 rounds, (changing to d.p. needles whenever you find it difficult to continue with the circular needle) until you have 5 st. left. Then cut the yarn leaving a long tail and using the tapestry needle or the crochet hook pass the yarn through the remaining stitches, pull tight and secure. Weave on all loose ends.

Ένα βελονάκι για τα τελειώματα
Έναν κρίκο ή ένα λαστιχάκι για να σημαδεύετε την αρχή κάθε νέου γύρου.
Σχέδιο:
Με το χρώμα Α βάλτε 72 πόντους και ενώστε για να πλέξετε κυκλικά, αλλά προσέξτε να μη «στρίψουν» οι πόντοι. Πλέξτε λάστιχο 2Χ2ς για 2 περίπου εκατοστά.
Αλλάξτε στο χρώμα Β και πλέξτε ένα γύρο κάνοντας 10 αυξήσεις (πλέξτε 7 καλή, φτιάξτεέναν πόντο). Πλέξτε άλλον ένα γύρο κάνοντας 8 αυξήσεις (πλέξτε 10 φτιάξτε 1 πόντο). Έτσι θα έχετε σύνολο 90 πόντους.
3ος γύρος: *1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 μαζί*, επαναλάβετε ως το τέλος.
Αλλάξτε στο χρώμα Γ
4ος και 5ος γύρος: πλέξτε καλή, αυξάνοντας άλλους 10 πόντους (έτσι θα έχετε 100 στο σύνολο)
6ος γύρος: *1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 μαζί*, επαναλάβετε ως το τέλος.
Αλλάξτε στο χρώμα Α και συνεχίστε ως εξής:
7ος και 8ος γύρος: καλή
9ος γύρος: *1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 μαζί*, επαναλάβετε ως το τέλος.
Αλλάξτε στο χρώμα Β
10ος και 11ος γύρος: πλέξτε καλή
12ος γύρος: *1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 μαζί*, επαναλάβετε ως το τέλος.
Συνεχίστε έτσι, εναλλάσσοντας τα χρώματα και πλέκοντας 2 γύρους καλή και έναν με το σχέδιο μέχρι που το πλεκτό σας να έχει μήκος 15 εκατοστά από την αρχή (μαζί με το λάστιχο) ως το σημείο που έχετε πλέξει.Ύστερα αρχίστε τις μειώσεις:(Μην ξεχάσετε να εναλλάσσετε τα χρώματα)
1ος γύρος: καλή
2ος γύρος: *2 καλές μαζί, 8 καλή *, επαναλάβατε ως το τέλος του γύρου
3ος γύρος: * 1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 καλές μαζί*, επαναλάβατε ως το τέλος του γύρου
4ος γύρος: όλοι οι πόντοι καλή.
5ος γύρος: *2 καλές μαζί, 7 καλή*, επαναλάβατε ως το τέλος.
6ος γύρος: * 1 ζετέ, πλέξτε 2 καλές μαζί*, επαναλάβατε ως το τέλος του γύρου.
Συνεχίστε τις μειώσεις με τον ίδιο τρόπο (πλέξτε 2 μαζί, καλές 6 / πλέξτε 2 μαζί, καλές 5, κ.ο.κ., αλλάζοντας σε καλτσβελόνες όταν οι πόντοι θα είναι τόσο λίγοι που δε θα μπορείτε πια να πλέξετε με τις κυκλικές, μέχρι να σας μείνουν 5 πόντοι. Ύστερα κόψτε το νήμα, αφήνοντας τόσο ώστε να μπορείτε να το στερεώσετε στην εσωτερική πλευρά του πλεκτού, σφίγγοντάς το καλά. Κρύψτε όσες «ουρές» έχουν απομείνει στις ενώσεις των νημάτων και ... καλοφόρετο!
